The Little Things

It is often the little things we forget to be thankful for. If you ever held her hand, why did you let go? You may think you stopped holding the hand, but in reality, you let go of her heart.

If you ever opened or held a door for her and stopped that, too. It is as though you have slammed the door in her face, leaving her to wonder if you no longer respect her as your lady.

I respect everything about you!

Did you compliment her body when you met her? Did you ever tell her that she was beautiful? If you have stopped those things, what are you saying in your silence? Does the woman who has committed her life and love to you not deserve better?

You deserve the world!

What have you become? Are you a man who thinks himself proud? Your brokenness is breaking her, and time cannot mend some breaks!

I will heal your pain!

Yes, she has put on a few pounds; she gave you children. Respect her for giving birth to your lineage. Her hair has become a little gray, but all queens show maturity in this manner.

I will always bend a knee to my Queen!

What are/were her dreams, do you know? Have you ever asked what she might enjoy as a hobby? Do you know the music she likes? Have you ever sung with her just to see her smile that butterfly-causing smile the way she does?

Sometimes I get lightheaded feeling your joy.

Do you lie on top of her for love or for release? Have you ever asked her what she wants in the bedroom? Do you know where to caress her body? Do you know where not to touch her?

It will never be just for release, and time will reveal.

Have you ever rubbed her body and made her crave you desperately?

I have!

When was the last time you spoke her name with a smile in your voice?

Often throughout the day when I am sitting alone.

Do you introduce her with pride?

I do! I will!

Does she feel like the most important woman to you in the kitchen, in the car, or out with friends?

I pray she knows she is.

It is the little things that make or break a relationship. Do not fool yourself into believing that expensive gifts or extravagant trips keep the heart of the woman you say you love.

I will not!

When you forget the little things, you forget her, and when you forget her, she disappears.

Denise, you will never disappear!

I will not forget the little things, for they make the big things worth sharing.

I am a man who loves a woman with my whole heart. I am blessed beyond measure to share the little things with you every day.
